Radka Kadlecová

Radka Kadlecová was born in Prague in 1971. First she studied psychology and science of religion at the Theological Faculty (Husitská teologická fakulta), Charles University (UK). In 2007 she completed her Master´s degree in production management at Film and TV School of Academy of performing Arts in Prague (FAMU), at the Film and TV Faculty. When she was still a student, in 2004, she started her own production company Spinel Prague Production s.r.o (Ltd.), through which she realized the following films: Pelargonie (Pelargonium, a cartoon, dir. Lucie Sunková, 2004), Ze života matek (From the Lives of Mothers, a cartoon, dir. Kristýna Dufková, 2005), Jiří John – Ovoce samo padající (Jiří John – Fruit falling by itself, a documentary, dir. Petr Záruba, 2008). Despite the fact her main objective is a film production; she has also participated in theatre projects production. In 2006 – 2007 she worked as a production manager on the buff opera A Walk Worthwhile (originating in 1965), which was directed by Miloš and Petr Forman, and was premiered in the National Theatre in 2007. She also co-operated with Forman Brothers Theatre on other projects, e.g. in January 2008 she was a production manager of a renewed Philip Glass´s opera La Belle et la Bête (Beauty and the Beast, dir. Petr Forman) in Valencia, Spain. At the moment she works as a producer of the film made after the famous theatre performance – jazz opera of Jiří Šlitr and Jiří Suchý – A Walk Worthwhile, directed by Miloš Forman.
