Viktor Ekrt

Viktor Ekrt was born in 1975 in Prague. He belongs to the young generation of film sound designers in Prague. He finished Prague Film Academy FAMU, Sound department, in 2001. In 1998, while he was still a student, he became a part of a team of sound designers in the respected Studio Soundsquare in Prague. His portfolio contains many successful projects, including feature films, documentaries and music projects. The most known projects from his list of works are as follows: The Secrets (Tajnosti, a film directed by Alice Nellis, nominated for the Czech Lion Awards for the best sound in 2007), Dad (Tatínek, a film directed by Jan Svěrák) or a mix of documentary Citizen Havel (Občan Havel, dir. Míra Janek and Pavel Koutecký). He regularly cooperates with renowned dir. Mira Charap Erdevicky on documentaries, or with Martin Krejči, Michael Baumbruck, Jakub Kohák and Tomáš Mašín on commercials for clients from all over the world. Last but not least, Viktor is a violin player in a popular alternative music band called Hm.... The band Hm... has released three regular albums in the last 12 years and become a respected band on the alternative Czech music scene. At the moment he is working on another feature film based on comics stories of Alois Nebel, a hero of drawn books of Jaroslav Rudiš and Jaromír Švejdík.
